On August 27, 2025, Mark Pitkin, President and CEO of Sugar River Bank, and Ginger Marsh, Branch Manager of Warner’s Sugar River Bank, presented a generous ten-thousand-dollar donation to MainStreet Warner. These funds will support the creation of the MainStreet Warner Lodge, a community center in downtown Warner. Before the check presentation, Mark Pitkin and Ginger Marsh toured the Lodge to see firsthand the renovation work that is already well underway.
In 2020, MainStreet Warner purchased the property, originally a Baptist Church before becoming the local Masonic Lodge. MainStreet Warner’s plan is to turn the buildi ng into a revitalized community center, with a working kitchen, meeting room, and performance venue. New landscaping will also provide an outdoor terrace and walkway along with ADA accessible entrances into the building.
The kitchen and community room are now almost finished, thanks to numerous generous individual donations and grants from New Hampshire’s Community Development Finance Authority, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and now Warner’s hometown Sugar River Bank. Donations are still needed to reach the finish line and complete this ambitious project.
