Something Wonderful is Happening in Warner
Jim Mitchell
Children’s Park, Phase #3 of the Jim Mitchell Community Park nears Completion!
On September 26, 2020 a volunteer crew of landscapers was assembled, led by Matt Gerald, to construct the perimeter beds for future plantings, laying an initial granite piece “mosaic" as you enter the park, installing additional side granite posts, and the granite post for the main park entrance sign. All of the granite was donated by Pellettieri Associates.
Jim McLaughlin designed and build the welcome sign, iron braces constructed by Tim Courser, and all installed by Jim and Robert Shoemaker.
We are now working on adding the plantings, while Greenleaf Irrigation extends the rainwater irrigation system into this area. Come and enjoy the Children’s Park, and helps us as it continually grows and changes!

This special garden area, designed for child play and exploration, will include new walkways, educational kiosks and outdoor workshop areas, edible gardens with raised vegetable beds, fruit and nut trees, berry bushes, medicinal herbs, compost bins, and perennial rainwater gardens.
10/10/20 was a wonderful day for the history of MSW!
This date marked the 20th Anniversary of MainStreet Warner, Inc. and the 10th Anniversary of the official opening of the JomMitchell Community Park. On this day, the official ribbon cutting was performed by Kayden Creed Chevalier, with his Mom, Fiona, and grandmother, Cathie Creed. Kayden also revealed the plaque in memory of his grandfather, Warner legend Fred Creed, just as you enter the park.

Kayden excitedly ran through the “ribbon cutting” and had no problem revealing our beautiful sign and his grandfather’s plaque!
